Rosemarie Gronkowski Obituary

Gronkowski, Rosemarie (nee Blind) 77, of Palos Heights, IL, passed away on April 4, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Maria; and her ex-husband, Richard. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ann (James), Kristina (David) and Andrea; her grandchildren, Olivia, Vanessa, Mikayla, Jenna, and Chelsea; her brother, Friedrich (Ursula) Merkel; nieces, Amy and Alexandra, and nephew, Michael. Rose kept her German heritage with her throughout her life and passed the love of her homeland on to her children and grandchildren. She took pride in her career and her legacy will live on through the impact made on her colleagues, whom have become family, at Mason Insurance. Her lifelong love of music and singing led her to the Elmhurst Damenchor, where she was an active member and served on their board. Through all her adventures and accomplishments, she thrived on the joy and contentment in walking her dog, Sabi, around Lake Katherine. Her feisty, energetic personality, can do attitude, and friendly smile will be sorely missed by all. In keeping with Rose's wishes, there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Feed My Starving Children in honor of Rose's generous, caring, and loving spirit.
