Wally was a special guy. I worked with him and he and I had the best talks. Both of us were into Psychology. My path took a separate course into a very successful private business career. However, I always missed and thought of Wally often. I make it a point to ride up on my motorcycle to his gravesite and saw a prayer at least one a year. Someday, I'll see you Wally and we'll catch up.

Dear Stromek Family,
Sonny was a good, loving and kind friend. He taught me lessons I will never forget. He's praying for us now. God bless...

My sincere sympathies to the loved ones of Sonny Stromek. I met Sonny over 12 years ago. He was a kind and compassionate person with a hilarious sense of humor. A great friend. The world is diminished to lose such a good person, but our loss is heaven's gain. "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27

I grew up with Wally in the Calumet City neighborhood and was a year behind him at Carmel. We would hang around together, doing stupid things kids did back then. Wally was always fun to be around and a great guy. My sympathy to the family on his death. May the good times be remembered, and the sadness pass quickly.

Cannot believe that one month ago, you were comforting me in the same exact place, at my husband, Frank's wake. We have so many wonderful memories of you, and your family, on the Stromek Cruise for Tuberous Sclerosis. May God hold you in the palm of HIS hand, until you are reunited with all of your loving family. So very sad and sorry. Rest in peace.

Kristyn and Michael, Madison, Anna, Elle & Ben. We just want you to know how very sorry we are for your loss. Your dad, (father in law, grandfather)..was such a nice man and so great to have conversations with. I know how happy his grandchildren made him and how proud he was of you Kristyn. Such a lovely photo tribute of him. We will keep you in our prayers and we are here if you need us. Glad we were lucky enough to know him.

To Wally's Family and Friends,
I am so sorry for your loss. Wally was a great clinical intern under my supervision when he was obtaining his MSW. His humor and laughter were the best medicine anyone could receive. He and I stayed in touched via e-mail; and again it was his humor than continued to brightened my days and life in general. I miss him and I hold all of you in my prayers.
