We will miss you Uncle Ted. Family holidays, parties, and gatherings will not be the same without picking you up in our truck for a ride. Boy genius will also have to find a new financial advisor for his investment ideas. May you be at reast in heaven. You will always be in our prayers. Love,

Ted was my fraternity brother before he became my brother- in-law. He later became both my financial and sports consultant. His sometimes gruff exterior belied a heart of gold. I especially appreciated the fact that he introduced me to the Gibson's bar! I will miss our frequent banter. He will be in my prayers.

To my dear sweet dad, on All Souls day 11-2-14, Finally you are at peace in a land where the White Sox can never lose, the Cubs can never win, and when you look out at the horizon it is the most beautiful shade of "maize and blue". I considered it a special honor to take care of you as you grew older. You are a brilliant and caring man who has taught me many invaluable lessons, the greatest of all being the one about choices. Throughout the many years of your challenging and at times brutal health struggles, you met them with strength, courage and the choice to make the best of a "less than best" situation. Your ongoing decision to choose "the happiness in life" in spite of its' ever mounting obstacles is a lesson I will treasure forever. So, today and in the future even though my heart is overwhelmingly sad and I will miss you terribly every day, I will choose to be happy - happy that God chose you as my wonderful father and that I was able to share so many memorable years with you - and happy to embrace the possibility that every day can be a good day for a good day. These choices will be my final gift to you Dad, in honor of how you lived your life to the very end, wondrous and successful. Your loving daughter, Debbie

Our weekly dinners for many years became a tradition. Politics, sports, and of course, family - we talked about it all. I loved your wit and humor even through some tough times. I will miss you, and you will always be in my prayers.
