James Smith Obituary

Smith, James Donald James Donald Smith, age 67, passed March 7 after an illness. Born near Tulsa, OK to the late Jean Broecker and James Smith. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ramona (Aseves), children Melinda Lawrence, Leslie (Peter) Terbeek, and Scott Smith. He was a loving grandfather to Tyler, Charlie, Kevin and Stuart. He was the beloved brother of Karen (Paul) Stelling Farina, William (Mary) Broecker and Carol (Bob) Morrow. A Memorial and celebration of his life is Will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10 a.m., at Riverside United methodist Church, 82 Woodside Road, Riverside, IL. (umcriverside.org). Arrangements were handled by All States Cremation of Denver, Co. An online obituary is also posted at www.allstatescremation.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The University of Texas San Antonio Valley Fever Vaccine Project (via www.valleyfeversurvivor.com) OR The Almoner's Fund of the Tulsa Scottish Rite, a Masonic organization for assistance to families in need (www.tulsascottishrite.org).

I didn't know Jim well, but i owe him a great deal, as Leslie has so greatly enriched my family. My heart goes out to Leslie and Peter, and to Scott and Melinda, Tyler, and Charlie. Much love indeed from Grandma Kathy.
