Caryl,Rob and Allie,
I cannot express how deeply this has
impacted my heart..not only can I feel the pain for you Caryl (having lost Perry), but, Rob and Allie, I too, lost my Dad .
Bernie was so very special....my husband and I were at LGH not too long ago and had the chance to talk briefly;he so proudly shared the pics of his "pride and joy" as he put it.
Rob, the boys look just like you when you were their age..what a
legacy!
My memories of Bernie are special
and will always remember his kindness, great disposition and
wonderful sense of humor. He
will be missed.
All our love and condolences..

The heartbreaking news that my friend Bernie will no longer be with us is a reality that I cannot even begin to process. He was a one of a kind guy who gave his time volunteering, making wonderful wooden items, and usually seen working on his newest crossword puzzle.
His true love for Caryl and his family was undeniable. His true treasures were his grandsons and glowed as he reached for his wallet whenever he had a new picture; not to mention the pride he exuded while wearing his “World Greatest Grandpa” sweatshirt.
I love Bernie not only for the kindness he showed me but more so for the man he was.
My heart and prayers go out to his family and many friends who will miss him with such sorrow. I know there are no words that can comfort you at this time but knowing that he had such love and affection for those he was close to, and the fondness for him by so many, might help you through this painfully, difficult time. My love to you, Caryl.
I love ya, Bernie. I miss you. xo
