Zonya Melseth Obituary

Zonya "Hemrich" Melseth

Zonya "Hemrich" Melseth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on January 21, 2008, from complications associated with Alzheimers disease. She was born on June 13, 1935.
Zonya grew up in Magnolia, WA, and attended Queen Anne High School. She later attended the University of Washington and became a member of the Children's Hospital Guild. She was married to Marvin Jerry Melseth in 1959, and lived her later years in Lynnwood, WA. Zonya worked in the medical field for 30+ years and finished our her career as a member of the board of trustees at Stevens Memorial Hospital. Zonya loved painting, camping, salmon fishing, bridge, gardening, and traveling. She especially loved her family and many friends.
Zonya is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, John (Sharon); twin sister, Zarya; and two beautiful granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Stevens Foundation, 21601 - 76th Avenue West, Edmonds, WA 98026.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Maple Park Lutheran Church, 17620 - 60th Avenue West, Lynnwood, WA 98037, 425-743-2288

We will remember Zonya as a lovely lady with a warm personality; it was always a joy to be in her company. We are thankful she had a strong faith and believe she's in a much better place. Our prayers are with her family in their loss.
