William Silverman Obituary

SILVERMAN, WILLIAM E. William Edward Silverman died peacefully at his home in Winter Park, Florida May 27th 2009 after a long illness. He was born in Baltimore Maryland on Dec. 5,1929 to Harry and Belle Silverman. He completed his education in Detroit Michigan before joining the Army Air Corps. On June 14th 1952 he married the love of his life Essie Wayne Mason. They spent most of their married life in Winter Park, Florida where he was employed by Martin Marietta. After his retirement they enjoyed spending summers in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina in their family home. He will be dearly missed by his wife Essie; daughters Donnicia Maynard (John) of Orlando, Stephanie Rae Turnipseed (John) of Hollywood, Geraldine Mason Hatchitt (Alan) of Winter Park; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Cowboy his calico cat. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and most endearing sense of humor. A memorial service was held at the family home on Friday May 29th with Pastor Hogg officiating. We love you Grandpaw.
