WILLIAM G. SAN FAN ANDRE

William G. San Fan Andre, a resident for over 20 years of Jupiter, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Jupiter Medical Center, Jupiter, FL. Born June 24, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Cavanaugh San Fan Andre. He was 81 years of age.

William graduated from Lynbrook High School in 1939 in Lynbrook, Long Island. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was founder and long time president of Anco Packaging Corporation of Shelton, CT.

William was a Darien, CT resident for over 42 years. He was a long time parishioner of St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Darien, CT and a member of the Country Club of Darien for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Jonathans Landing Golf Club and a member of the Marina Club of Jonathans Landing in Florida.

William is survived by his wife Margaret C. San Fan Andre of Jupiter, FL. He is also survived by his six children Katherine Keating of Woodbury, CT; Judith Larocque of Monroe, CT; Jeffrey San Fan Andre of Huntington, CT; William San Fan Andre of Southbury, CT; Marguerite McKenna of Southbury, CT and Laura Papst of Norwalk, CT. Thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. He is also survived by his extended family of Marguerite McTurck of Jupiter, FL; Michele Daly of Bronxville, NY; John Hodnett of Wellington, FL; Gabrielle McKinney of St. Louis, MO; Bradford Hodnett of Bronxville, NY; Yvonne Summerlin of Newtown, CT; Melissa Hodnett of New Canaan, CT and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

William was predeceased by his first wife Marguerite L. San Fan Andre.

Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 10:00 AM with Father Robert Post officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan, CT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
