I remember Billy not on from St.Philip High School, but also from Sheridan Park and the Quonset Hut at St. Ignatius High School. Sneaking in the hut to play ball. Billy was a legendary shooter from anywhere on the court. Thanks for the memories, Billy. Little Italy and the old neighborhood(Taylor Street) will always remember you.
Sincerely

Billy was, pound for pound, one of the best basketball players Chicago has produced. He singlehandedly defeated my alma mater, Weber,in the '56 playoffs. As I remember, he scored 35 points for the underdog Gaels. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing.
