William Roberts - beloved husband of the late Rita; loving father of William (Eileen), Kathy Pierce, Michael (Michelle) and Susan Tracy; proud and cherished grandfather of Caitlin, Ryan, Kelsey, Shanna (John), Michael, Jake, Julie, Claire, Madeline, Quinn and Jack; great grandfather of Ethan, McKenzie, McKayla, McKinley and Mason. Korean War, U.S. Army Veteran. Honorable member of Tatler Post 973. Long time parishioner of St. Andrew Church. Union President of Paper Handlers Union #2. Visitation Friday 4:00pm- 8:00pm at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge. Funeral Saturday, lying in state from 9:00am until the time of Mass at 10:00am at St. Andrew Church (Addison & Paulina). Interment All Saints. Info 847-685-1002 www.cooneyfuneralhome.com.
