Dear Barbara, I just read about the passing of Bill and I want you to know that Jim and I will be praying for him, you and your family. This brings to mind the relationship our parents had years ago and of ourselves in Wilmette when we lived on the same street and you and I went to St.Joseph's together and then to Sacred Heart in Lake Forest. Many fond memories of our Wilmette days.
God bless you all,
Jane Horth Cordell

Dear Barbara and Kids,
My sincere sympathy for the loss of such a good guy. I hope your memories will help comfort you in the days ahead. My own illness prevented me from attending the services.

Dear Mrs. Reidy, Kathleen, Bill, Barb, and Dan,

I am so sorry to hear the news of Mr. Reidy. He was an incredibly accomplished individual and his dedication to family, friends, and Notre Dame is remarkable. I must admit I have always been partial to the beauty of Irish blessings - as you know, the irish have a wonderful way with words. I hope you find comfort in this eloquent irish blessing.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

May he rest in peace. Please know that I have you all in mind and prayers.

Love,
Susan Burke

Dear Dad,
You came to me in my dream December 11th & I felt your presence as you were slowly lowered my head into the pillow and said "Thank you Bill for honoring my wishes".
You also said "I will look over you & I want you to look over the rest of the family"
The last thing you told was "When you go out to play golf, put a ball on a tee at the first hole & I will hit it when I can."
You taught how to play golf & I will help AJ & Katie with their game.
I will miss you, but I will see you in the fairway.

Dear Barbara,
I will always remember Bill with affection as, first, a Navy boy, then an IBM man. Next, I remember clearly the two of you as a young couple starting out in our garage apartment and then the gardener's cottage. I have always respected and admired Bill. He lives on in my fond memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always, Sheila

Classmate at Little Flower and St. Ignatius. Bill had a generous spirit. In fourth grade he enlightened me that my dad's sword was from the Knights of Columbus, not awarded as an admiral in the Navy.
