William Pieper Obituary

I miss him. He saved my life and then made it better. I´m grateful for his presence in my life.

I wish I could speak with him again.

Dr. Pieper's legacy of as a caring and compassionate mentor and healer gave so many of us lives we would never have envisioned, let alone lived. He will be sorely missed and always remembered. He will live on through what he nurtured in our lives and discovered for all to learn. These gifts will continue to ripple through time, transforming generations.

My life is richer and happier because of Smart Love, and I just want to say thank you. My sincerest condolences to Martha Heineman Pieper and the entire extended family.

I am so sorry for the loss of William J. Pieper, M.D. My deepest condolences go to his extended family. I learned so much from his work about commitment, caregiving love in relationships, owning your own mind, and continous education. He lived a good life and was a great teacher. Dr. Pieper is remembered for all this and so much more, thank you.

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of such a remarkable human being, Dr. William Pieper. Words cannot express the depth and breadth of his life and his work, in collaboration with his wife, Dr. Martha Heineman Pieper, has left in the hearts of so many. My deepest gratitude for having the unique privilege to learn and grow with Smart Love ideals at The Natalie G. Heineman Smart Love Preschool. It has been a joy and an honor to share in these ideals. I hope it is comforting to your family to know at a time of such great loss, that Dr. William Pieper's commitment and dedication to human happiness and well-being will continue to thrive for generations to come.

He was always ready to share good humor, always ready to be serious, always thinking of you, always seeing you and, as a healer, always caring for you. I will miss him always, but he healed me and will be with me all my life.

Dear Martha and your family, we wish you solace and the happiness that you must have for knowing and loving such an amazing man. Bill was a perfect complement to you, Martha, and you will go forward we know with the inspiration he leaves on this earth. God bless you all.

Dr. Bill Pieper will be missed by many people whose lives he has touched. He along with his wife, Martha Heineman Pieper, laid out for humanity a set of ideals and principles in their writings and practice (Smart Love, Intrapsychic Humanism, and Addicted to Unhappiness) about how to live a deeply satisfying, meaningful and happy life no matter what life brings. This is truly a gift that has had profound impact on countless individuals. It has enhanced my personal life as a wife and mother as well as my professional life. I am very grateful to have the privilege of carrying out his ideals at Smart Love Family Services and The Natalie G. Heineman Smart Love Preschool. His memory will live on in the children and families we care for every day at Smart Love. My heartfelt condolences go to his family for such a great loss.
