My deepest sympathy to your family. I am a '90 graduate of Thornton High School, and had Mr. Peppard for Biology. I never thought dissecting a frog could be so interesting, but he made learning fun. He was a wonderful teacher, and will be missed.

My sincere condolences to all of you for the loss of Bill....I am sure he will be terribly missed.
This message comes from Paul Davis, a neighbor from a long time ago at 9606 Central Park....across from Bill’s house. Dee, you may remember me, or possibly my older sister Eva, Bill’s classmate at Holy Redeemer, who passed away about fifteen years ago.
I certainly would like to say that Bill was a very great young man at the time..... his leadership of the family after his father passed away early in life was an inspiration for all...and if someone were to say that one of us youngsters were eventually to be a key person in the Society of St. Vincent DePaul, it would have been predicted of Bill. Even then, almost fifty years ago, Bill was the best guy on the block.
I must say that Bill had the most genuine happy nature that he shared with every one...with his genuine smile and cheerful approach to life.
I am sorry that I could not personally attend either the wake or funeral, but I do wish to let all of you know just how great Bill was in those days and I am sorry that I did not have the joy of knowing him since then.
Peace to all of you....you can rest assured that your special one was always special.

Dear Barb, We are sending our heartfelt condolences to you and the family. By some strange coincidence, Carmin met your brother at a golf course in Crown Point this past summer. He didn't make the connection at the time that he was your brother.
Talked with Bill Purvis this morning and they send their sympathies also. Sincerely,
Betty & Carmin
