I have fond memories of William when he would accompany you to our Owen S.A. school events. I remember him as a kind and gentle "giant" of a man, and like you...a voice of thoughtfulness and reason.

Just read of William's death in thr RTAC bulletin. Please accept our deepest condolences. He was a wonderful man and you certainly enjoyed many years together and those are the good times that must be remembered.

Chloe, I heard just today about your loss. I am very sorry. It's been a long time since we all lived together in Illini Village. Lynn and I always thought Bill and you were the perfect couple. I shall pray for the repose of his soul.

I remember Mr. McKeever very well. I'm Evelyn (Chambers) Hampton, Farragut H.S. class of 1964. Although Mr. McKeever was not one of my teachers, I was a hall monitor and I'd often see him "on patrol" checking hall passes and keeping order. My prayer are with his family and those who loved him.

My condolences to the McKeever family. Mr. McKeever was my Senior DIvision teacher in '77. He was always so funny and loved his job. It's so odd that me and a class mate was just talking about him the other day. RIP Mr. Mac.

I knew "Mr. McKeever" for the twenty-five years he worked at the University of Chicago Law School. He was always a source of joy for faculty, staff and students. His warmth, sense of humor, and genuine concern for others made the Law School a better, more humane place for everyone. I, for one, will never forget him.

"No muchachos" he would always say out in the hallways... Never had him as a teacher but does words are unforgettable. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

WELL ME AND MY TWIN WERE STUDENTS AT FARRAGUT WHEN HE WAS TEACHING............WE ALWAYS LIKE JOCKING AROUND WITH HIM AND JUST LAUGHING OUT LOUD......LATER IN LIFE WE BECAME COLLEGUES AT WORK.......AND THE FRIENDSHIP GREW AND WE WERE ALWAYS HANG AROUND STILL AROUND HIS CLASS AND MADE JOKES AND LAUGHT LOUD...ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT WHEN ME AND MY TWIN WERE STUDENTS AND HOW WE PASS HES CLASS AND GET HIM CONFUSED WHO WAS WHO........ALL IN ALL HE WAS A GREAT PERSON AND VERY BIG HEART THAT HE SHARE WITH ALOT OF PEOPLE.....MY CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY....HE WILL BE MISS....AND SOORY FOR NOT BE IN PERSON..BUT WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM..ALWAYS MAKING US LAUGHT WITH HIS FAMOUS WORDS "CAMPANAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! My condolences to Mr. Mckeever's family he was my history teacher at Farragut in 2001 he was a good teacher.

God needed a great teacher by his side, great motivator and a soldier at best!! I would always see him in the halls trying to get the students to hurry up to class, "campana"(bell) and "no muchachos"(no guys-in reference to the girls walking with the boys) lol... always in good spirits!!

I too was under the tutalage of Mr. Mckeever in the early 70's I remember him always with a smile or smirk on his face, depending on what you'd done.

My condolences to the family. I knew Mr McKeever as a fellow teacher at Farragut. As the JROTC Instructor he and I talked numerous times about our military experiences. Several years ago I got him a set of Airborne Wings to replace the ones he lost. He wore them proudly and could never stop talking about the good old days in the Army. I never had a chance to say goodbye. he was a real American

My Condolences to the Family. Mr. McKeever was my Homeroom Teacher at Hugh Manley Upper Grade School during 1962-1963, 2930 W. Polk St. Chicago,IL. He carried himself with such grace and dignity as I recall, my age was 12-13, and in hindsight these would be the attributes I would assign to him. R.I.P. Mr. McKeever.

Maurice Kitchen: I was both student and colleague under the tenure of Mr. Mckeever. He was a stand up guy who cared and did his best. His was a life worth living. My condolences to the family.

My name is Nancy Jordan Thomas I was a student of Mr Mckeever's at Farragut class of '66. He was more than a teacher, he listened to what was going on in your life sometimes humorously and more often seriously. We were a different breed at that time, our teachers were exceptional. We all should have been doing great things because of teachers like him, who taught pass the classroom. I do regret that until today I did not realize he was the father -in-law to my cousin, I would have told him how thankful I am that he helped in my developement.

My name is James C. McGrew and I remember Mr. Mckeever very well. During the mid sixties as a student at Farragut he continually pointed me in the right direction. For that I'm grateful.

As a student at Farragut High School while Mr. McKeever was on the faculty, what I recall about him was that he was a history teacher extraordinaire and also served as the school disciplinarian. You didn't want McKeever on your trail because he was relentless.

One of the greatest out of many that helped form the young lives of so many students. Job well done. FHS class of"69".

I had the honor of working with Mr. McKeever in the late 1970's. He was the ultimate teacher who possessed a great since of humor. He always had nice things to say about his wife and children. May God bless this wonderful family.
