William McGlynn Obituary

I was lucky to know Judge McGlynn. He was one of the

kindest, smartest, and helpful judges I ever clerked for. He made

the day at work feel less like work and kept all of us laughing.

He will be greatly missed. So very sorry for your loss. Tina Trost

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Judge McGlynn. I have worked with Judge McGlynn as an Assistant Public Defender here in Markham. One of the best judges I have ever worked with. One of the nicest men I have ever met. He will be sorely missed in this courthouse and no one will ever replace him in our hearts. My prayers go out to his beautiful family.

I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. Although as a public defender in Markham, I did not practice much before Judge McGlynn. However, during the time that I appeared in front of him, he was considerate, fair and very pleasant. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to your family.

We are truely sorry to hear of Bill's death. We are sorry we cannot be their to express our sympathy in person. We will always remember his courage and fortitude while he worked and received treatments. He is an inspiration to all who knew him.

To the family of one of the nicest Judges I have had the pleasure of working with, you have my deepest sympathy and my sincerest prayers. Judge McGlynn will truely be missed. The heavens has an angel watching over the earth. Remember the 23rd Psalms.

How sad to have lost a WONDERFUL and KIND person. I had the pleasure of and working with the Honorable William F. McGlynn at the Markham Courthouse Facility. No matter how the judge was feeling, he always came in with a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He will be missed dearly. BILL AND MY DAD WORKED TOGETHER WITH THE CHICAGO POLICE AND THEY WENT TO LAW SCHOOL TOGETHER. THEY HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR MANY YEARS!

BILL WAS GREATLY LOVED BY MY DAD AND HE WAS THE BEST OF HELP TO ME DURING A REALLY HARD TIME. HE HELPED ME LOOK AT LIFE IN A BETTER WAY! HE HAS A VERY SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AND I KNOW MY FATHER WILL REALLY MISS HIM!

The journey of Bill’s life has been interwoven with wonderful friendships. The 48 years of my friendship with Bill. His accomplishments were mine, mine his. It’s always meant so much to know you were there, you understand, and whenever you were needed you stepped up to the challenge. That’s why it means so much to me to tell you, Bill that you were loved by many more person than you would want to know. That You did not need the hear the words spoken to know of our great friendship. Farwell my friend….. Simper FI

I did not know Bill but, judging by his family that I know or have met he must have been a great man. May God now comfort his soul, family, and loved ones.

Chicago has lost a great citizen and the McGlynns have lost a great family member. My sympathies to all who knew him, especially his wife, their wonderful daughter, a great son-in-law and numerous animals.

I am deeply saddened for the family at this time and pray that in the midst of your weariness that you remember the happy times with Mr. McGlynn. May God bless you and give you strength.

Mr. McGlynn was a great loving man who helped create one of my best friends. Always friendly and smiling, Mr and Mrs helped me believe in true love. I have always looked up to him and now I am honored to know he is watching over us.God has one of his best back.He will truly be missed, God Bless
