The passing of a great man. MG Levine loved the Army and everyone that was affiliated with the Army. As a member of the 85th Division and later as Active Guard Reserve Senior Field Grade Officer, MG Levine touched my life in so many ways. He was a great mentor and was one General Officer that ALWAYS took the time to participate in a discussion whenever the occasion came up. He was always a joy to talk to. May he rest in peace - Amen.

The General will truly be missed as not only a loving husband and uncle, but a humanitarian, patriot, and leader in the Jewish community. His dedication helped free thousands who might never have known life, and for this alone we all are proud.
On a personnel note,he was a true friend and uncle who I will always cherish in my heart for his kind words, advice, and dedication to the entire family.
Rest peacefully my friend. Thank you for everything you did to help me through my youth.

Dear Aunt Rhoda, John and Maxine,
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Uncle Will was a great man who cared deeply about family. He was very kind to my mother, my sisters and I, when our father (his younger brother Orrin) died many years ago. He always made a point of letting us know what a great man our father was and how much he loved us. I had tremedous respect for Uncle Will-- he was a man of honor, strength, intelligence and warmth.
My thoughts are with you, and I will remember Uncle Will with fondness -
Much love,
Lisa

Dear Rhoda and the entire family of William, a most beautiful man, inside and out.
He lit up a room, with his quick smile, handsome face, intelligence, and warm loving ways. What a pleasure and privilege to have known William, a man of so many outstanding accomplishments, both professionally and personally. I know William will remain in the hearts of so many, including ours.
Rest in peace, General.
