I met Bill when I moved to S Laramie Avenue and I can say he was a good guy. He loved his cake and a cold beer and OBT. We talked about sports, the old days down in the "stockyards" neighborhood, and general good conversations about stuff. I helped him move from Laramie around the corner to his little apartment and even put his pedalstal fan together for him. I got the call from our other friend, Joe who went to visit him and found out Bill had passed. What a shock to hear this sad, sad news. He spoke lovingly about his grandkids and his kids, so proudly of his son in the Navy (if I recall) and seeing his daughter come by to pick him up to run errands with him. My heartfelt condolences to his family. I'm so sad I missed his memorial service, I would have been there to say goodbye dear friend.
Sincerely,
Marita Rodriguez
