RURAL HALL - Mr. William Clifford Darby, 34, of Rural Hall died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at his home. Mr. Darby was born March 11, 1970, in Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Darby. He is survived by his mother, Ms. Barbara Lovelace; two sisters, Lori Gillie of Walnut Cove and Sandra Frantz of North Wilkesboro; and a brother, Isaac Lee Smathers III of Winston-Salem. The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, Oct. 13, at Vogler & Sons Reynolda Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, followed by the service. The Rev. Roger Dale Wallace will officiate. Mr. Darby was loved by his family and friends and will be missed greatly.
