Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Canning, I have had the honor of being a student of his daughter Laurie, and anyone that raised such a wonderful, talented and kind person must himself have been extraordinary. My deepest condolences to the whole family, having lost my father at 24, one week after his 54th birthday, I can appreciate you're pain. If there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Chuck, Denise, Angela, Joseph, Josephine and Tatiana

People ask me when they hear the news if I was close to my uncle....My response to them is it was impossible not to be...He made sure that we knew he loved us whenever we saw or spoke to him...he made sure that you told him you loved him too. That was his way...it is our family's way...He had a warmth that shone thru in all he did and I will forever miss his sly grin and bright blue eyes...
Uncle Bill...Kelly loves you!

Dear Canning Family,
In this tragic loss I know all of your hearts are breaking, but please know that all of you are in my family's thoughts and prayers everyday. Please accept my sympathy's and sorry I wasnt able to speak with you at this time. Your Guardian Angel will look over each and everyone of you everyday and remember he has gone to a good place. His job as father is never done because now he looks over you in a higher place.
Yours truly

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Canning Family. I met Bill at the Leaning Tower YMCA. It was always a pleasure to bump in to him at the Y. He was always smiling and had a nice word to say. I will miss him. Again may I extend my deepest sympathy to the family.

I enjoyed talking to him while working at the Leaning Tower "Y".
He was a sweet person to talk to and he seemed to enjoy life. He was always smiling and very much so on that day of January 3rd. I will miss him dearly.
