William Bassett Obituary

Bassett, William A. (Bill) 82, devoted husband of the late Maida Bassett (nee Harris); father of the late Michael (Tricia), Robert (Lois), and Patricia (Kenneth) Booker; proud grandfather of Christopher, Jessica, Elizabeth and Rebecca. Passed away August. 31, 2007 in Chicago. Bill retired to Las Vegas, NV from the Cook County, IL Hwy. Dept. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of VFW Post 2024. A celebration of his life will be held in Chicago on Friday, September 7th, at Lincoln Memorial UCC, 6454 S. Champlain. Visitation 10 a.m., funeral 11 a.m. Interment following at Oak Woods Cemetery, 1035 E. 67th St. Viewing on Thursday, September 6th, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Cage Memorial Chapel, 7651 S.
