I know it has been some time since Beau's passing, but i was just informed of his loss over the weekend. Beau was my coach at Vittum during my 8th grade year. When I 1st met him (and I'm sure a lot of you can agree) he came off as someone you never wanted to be approached by alone in a dark alley. But as time passed I grew closer to him and through the good and bad times I considered him as my 2nd father. My favorite memory of him was the hours before my state championship match. I don't want to bore anyone who reads this with all the details as i'd be here all day but after it was all said and done he was the 1st person to greet me and gave be the biggest hug. Now to me him doing that was like the cubs winning a world series (you maybe see it once in a hundred years!)
I know it's late but I offer my deepest regrets, Beau I'm sure you are looking down on all of us probably watching a wrestling meet calling a few refs a couple names. But I want you to know that I will always remember and miss you.

I didn't know Beau Walker personally because we worked on different shifts in the 8th district, but I did know of his reputation as a good policeman and a great person. My condolences to his family from an 8th district alumni.

Beau was always a friend and a caring soul who will be missed by all who knew him. The wrestling community will not be able to fill the large void left by such a colorful person.

Time has passed so quickly since we worked together in the 7th and 8th Districts(CPD). Under that gruff exterior was a policeman who actually cared.
Beau, you saved my tail more than once.
Bye buddy, you will always be remembered.

We are so sorry for your loss. We had only met Beau at Amanda and Jim's wedding last year and found him a thoroughly enjoyable person. I (Kathleen) thought it would be great fun to encounter him again and have some great discussions on the issues of the day. Our prayers are with your family.

you were a coach, friend and a father figure to me. I will always remember you telling me to never be afraid. All the meets you took me and Mark to. Cheering us on, I could always hear your voice come on Ralph. To the Walker family and the Bybee family I prey that you get through this hard time.

I'll miss you my good friend. You took me to some of the finest eating establishments in the city, your off the beaten path type places. Always made me laugh, put me in my place (when needed), and were a true friend concerned about what was happening in my world. I know I haven't been as close in the last couple years moving back across the big river, but you will always have a place in my heart. Thanks for the memories.
