Ferrone, Walter E. age 82; beloved husband of Marie Lorraine Ferrone (nee Storino); loving father of Judith Mabry, Janice (James) McCulloch and Joanne (Joseph) Calarco; cherished grandfather of Jody and David Mabry, Mandy, Stacey and Jackie McCulloch, Carter and Trevor Calarco; great-grandfather of Ethan and Quinn Mabry; son of the late Philip and Jennie Ferrone (nee Groenendal); dear brother of Philip Ferrone, Jr.; preceded in death by Edward and James Ferrone, Louise Trentz, and Mildred Sterk, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Walter worked for the Chicago Sun-Times for 45 years as a plate maker. Visitation and Funeral Saturday, 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 505 Kingston Dr., Romeoville, IL. Entombment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Dear Marie and Family,
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your children in your loss. We remember Wally as a wonderful cousin to John, Joey, Jimmy and Jill and attending the Ferrone picnics was always a treat when we saw him. In his later years coming to the picnic in his motorized chair was done with great humor - he didn't let his infirmaries stop him from enjoying life! May he rest in peace.
