This is for the Bendik family!
I read this saying and it's been with me for a long time!
"The passing of a loved one breaks your heart, and time heals broken hearts. My wish for you is that time passes quickly for you and your loved ones during this time of sorrow!"
After 17 years, the hurt lessens, but the warm and loving thought's are with us every day! Prayers said!

It's been many years, but Wally's shadow is still present on the Streets of Chicago! Missing you buddy! Never forgotten!

Wally,
Your daunting size is certainly missed on the streets of Chicago. The young officers could sure use your size and stature to quell the storms of today! Bless you and those left behind! Never forgotten!

15 years have passed, and it seems like yesterday we were patrolling the streets of Chicago. When trouble came up, I would exit the car, and you would get out and all got real quiet, because you were "The Gentile Giant!" Just your size was intimidating! I've been retired for 20 years now after serving 30, and you still are a part of my mind! I will never forget!

To the entire Bendik family I am very sorry for your loss of "Wally" or as his fellow CPD officers called him "Big Wally." I worked with Wally in patrol for many years, and he was always an Officer and a Gentleman! The "Thin Blue Line" will miss him!
