Fr Vito was my Math teacher at Quigley South. Because I am Lithuanian, he would always call on me to do problems on the board. Because of this, I made sure I learned my lessons well so that when I went to the board I was able to work out all the problems.
By Father Vito doing this, I had a very good understanding of math and it helped me immensly as I continued school.
Even though he picked on me, I loved going to his class
What a great priest!

Wonderful man and my favorite priest. Knew Father Vyto for over fifty years and my thoughts are of him today, and my prayers go out to his family. God bless you Father Vyto.

Great prof during my Quigley years in the early fifties. Prayers for his family and many thanks for the gift of this fine priest to the hordes of young teenage fellows who benefited from his teaching and the model of his life. Peace!

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Fr. Vito. He was an excellent pastor of his flock, good teacher, and all-round gentleman. Kathy remembers taking classes from Margaret in the basement of Holy Cross Parish. Fr. Vito would come in to say Hello and spur us on to gorgeous pottery works. Ed remembers a vacation in Puerto Rico with Fr. Vito. Fr. Vito's gentle nature and quiet demeanor will be remembered by all who new him.

He was my history teacher at Quigley South. One of the greats. But I most remember him for this playing of basketball with Fr. Phil Cahill every day at lunch in the gym. He's the only person I ever saw that could hit shots consistently from half court. And every Friday night in the winter, whether home or away, he would be there rooting the Quigley South Rebels (or Spartans after the nickname change) on to victory. What a committed teacher and priest. They don't make them like him any more. On behalf of your countless students, thanks for making us better men and better Christians.

Father Vito has always been a great friend to my parents and our family.I'll always remember him playing ball with us and umpiring our games at Mckinley park. Seven years ago when Lee and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary he was able to come out of retirement and co-celebrate at our mass. He was a great priest and a wonderful man. God will be pleased to have his company in heaven.

Father taught science in my first year at Quigley. I still recall the water wheel I made as a project for his class. Requiescat in pace.

Fr. Vito was my first year science teacher at Quigley (before North was added to its name)I admired his work for students and parishioners. Fr. Vito in his retirement had kept all his marks books (grades)for all his students
I asked him about my marks at his retirement home decades later esp. for Lituanian. He got out his mark books and said "I can't find you"
Of course I had not taken . it but French instead. He got a kick lout of it but it shows the enduring care and concern he had for his students.
May God give you glory, Fr. Vito
