Virginia McCabe was unforgettable....we were fortunate to work with her at Lourdes High School. Her lively spirit and excellent humor brought so much to any situation. She was a conscientious and caring counselor and encouraged the students in every way. The many memories of Virginia will always be with us. Sisters Ann Mary & Rosemarie, Lourdes High School

Ginnie - I somehow knew you'd broken these earthly bonds. Even though I hadn't heard the news officially, the outcome of your illness was inevitable and, if God was merciful, the sooner the better.
For weeks I've been feeling your presence so strongly there were times I expected to turn around and see you standing there! You were with me daily! I finally realized the only explanation was that you'd passed on and this was your way of saying good-bye. After my suspicions were confirmed by the discovery of this online obituary and Guest Book, your presence is no longer a mystery; it's just your way of saying good-bye.
So good-bye, old friend. I'll miss you more than you can imagine. The world will be a smaller and lonelier place without you.

So sorry for your loss, your mom was just plain cool. She was one smart cookie. I remember one chat I had with her about education and how important it was to her. What a inspiration and a fun lady. I know she will be missed by you kids very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
God Bless,
Sharon Huffman
(Thanks Mrs. McCabe it took 20 years but I got those degrees).

Tino, Scott, Tamsen & Terry,

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was an original. I have many fond memories of conversations with her that made me smile, made me question, but always, always made me think.
And she had such passion.

But mostly I will remember her love for you guys. I hope that her love continues to shine on with you and your kids.
She will be missed.

Lourdes High School was truly blessed to have Ginnie as a member of the faculty. Ginnie began as a teacher in the Business department and then became a member of the Guidance Dept. With faculty and staff -- she was a delight to be with and entertained us with her lively personality, stories and great sense of humor. The students were blessed with someone with an understanding heart and willingness to give them guidance and instruction for their future. Ginnie added a special touch to the Lourdes High School legacy of excellence, dedication and care. Our sympathy to Ginnie's family. Sister Ann Mary SSJ and Sister Rosemarie SSJ.
