I taught with Ginny at Whitney in the 50's and will always remember her yearly musical concerts. She loved putting these concerts together. After school we spent many late afternoons playing bridge. She was "the Master" who taught the rest of us how to play. Vacationing in New Smyrna Beach, Florida was quite a fun trip. We kept in contact over the years after I moved to Schaumburg and was so happy she had moved to Friendship Village. Sadly, I just recently found out about her passing when her Christmas card was returned.
Sincere sympathy to family and friends. She will be missed and remembered by many.

It was a pleasure working with Ms. Lamantia at Eli Whitney School. Running a large inner city school is not an easy job. She was a calm presence and kept the school running smoothly. She was truly one of the unsung heroes of Eli Whitney School. Many students, teachers and staff members benefited from her leadership. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Eli Whitney School.

I've known Aunt Ginny since I was two, and probably thought she was my aunt, too, when I was little, because I never called her by any other name. I will miss her warmth and her wit. Condolences to the Harrises and Zygmunts.
