Virginette Jedrzejewski Obituary

Sr. Virginette Jedrzejewski, SSJ-TOSF 95 yrs. old, beloved member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis, who was a high school teacher at St. Mary of P.H. (Bridgeport), St. Barbara (Throop St.), and Lourdes for most of her ministry, passed away on Friday, July 15th, at the convent in Bartlett, IL., where visitation and the Funeral Mass will be held. Sister had spent 74 years in religious life. Sister was the loving daughter of the late John and Joanne (Wiora), her brothers, Alex, Edward, Henry, Leo, and Michael, and sister, Clementine are deceased. A sister, Virginia (Nowakowski), survives as do many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Sister Elaine, SSJ, Sister Marcella, SSJ, Sister Marianne, SSJ, Cindy Ciresi (Robert), Elaine (Guba) and Aunt Martha. A prayer service at 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 19th, begins the visitation until 8 p.m., at the convent chapel, 801 W. Bartlett Rd., Bartlett, IL. (1/4 mile east of Highway 59), where the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 20th, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the SSJ-TOSF Development Office, Box 388129, Chicago, IL. 60638-8129. Funeral services by Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett, IL., 630-289-7575
