Virgil G. Rutan

Virgil G. Rutan, 87, passed away Sept. 26, 2002, at Hospice Care Center.

Mr. Rutan was born in Akron but lived most of his life in the Akron and Tallmadge areas. He was an electrician for over 30 years as an owner/operator of Rutan Electric and working at Community Electric in Akron, retiring in 1977. He also served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II as a chief petty officer. Mr. Rutan had a great love of fishing and gardening.

Mr. Rutan is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vera V.; daughters, Barbara (Charles) Roberts of Littleton, Colo., Roberta (Ted) Sikula-Schwalm of Tallmadge, and Joyce DiBona of Austin, Texas; sons, Ronald (Julia) Finney of Akron and Bob (Ann) Rutan of Mogadore; sisters, Doris Croghan of Green and Grace French of Florida; brother, Walter (Elmyra) Livingston of Johns town, Pa.; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many lov ing nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff at Maison Aine and V.N.S. Hospice of Fairlawn for the fine and loving care they gave Virgil.

Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Hennessy-Bagnoli Fu neral Home in Tallmadge, with Rev. Gary Glazer officiating. Burial will be at Tallmadge Cemetery, where mili tary rights will be conducted. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W.
