Violette Hopkins Obituary

Hopkins, Violette R. (nee Pote), passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Manor Care West in Palos Heights, after a courageous battle with brain tumors. Living in the Mokena area for over 42 years. She is survived by her loving husband Roy B. Hopkins, her son, Robert (Debbie), daughter, Barbara (Larry) Rossi, brother, Robert (Mari) Cleary, six grandchildren, Claire, Jeffrey and Kevin Hopkins, Katie, Jordan and Danny Rossi. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Mokena and the Good Timers. She was preceded in death by parents, her son Steven Hopkins and infant sister, Mitzie. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, Thursday, February 2, 2006, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Lying-in-state Friday, February 3, 2006, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Lying-in-state Friday, February 3, 2006, at St. John United Church of Christ, 11100 Second St., Mokena, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas Zoelzer officiating. Interment Fairmont Willow Hills in Willow Springs, IL.
