Volet Vick was my Aunt Vi and I just found out yesterday in a letter from her son, John that she is gone. My Dad is her late husbands brother.
There are not enough words to tell you how much I loved Aunt Vi. I visited with her a few years ago and wished that I would have kept in closer contact.
What I remember about Aunt Vi is how she made me feel when I was a kid. She had a laugh that would always put a smile on my face. She always was so kind to me, giving me bags Wrigley's gum and even buying my dress for the May crownng at church when my parents couldn't afford to do so. I will never forget her and I am so sad to know that I cannot visit with her again.
She was a special, beautiful woman and really words cannot express how I feel about her. I have so many good memories of her that I will always cherish.

To the Vick Family:
I was a neighbor of your Mom's many years ago.
I have an especially warm story about your Mom that I'd like to share. She had found a lost dog that she tried to reunite with it's owner. She wasn't sucessful and came to our home to see if we would take him as he didn't get along with her Ziggy.
Charlie was the perfect companion for my Mom, who was dying of cancer at the time. He just adored her and was exactly what she needed at the time.
Thanks to your Mom and Charlie, my Mom's final days were a little brighter!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My heart goes out to you John and Arin. Violet was more then a dear friend for us. Vi was our second Mom for over 40 years. I hold every card and every photo in my heart forever. Vi will be deeply missed, and no words can express how we all feel about your Mom and our second Mom Vi. May you find peace in your heart, John and Family.
