Gallagher, Vincent Peter age 65, of Bensenville, IL, born Donegal, Ireland, to the late Hugh (Mary) Gallagher, beloved husband of Shirley (nee Lee), loving father of Brian, dear brother of Hugh Patrick and Michael (Anne), also survived by his auntie Nellie, nephews, Kevin, Sean, Bella and niece, Colleen and many dear friends and associates. Long standing member of United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 1546. Funeral 9:15 a.m., from Geils Funeral Home, 180 S. York Rd., Bensenville, IL, to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 145 E. Grand Ave., Bensenville, IL, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Jim and I truly enjoyed our short visit with Vince at our reunion in May. Even though it was many years since I had seen Vince, I remember him as a kind and gentle person. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I'm deeply sadden by the death of Vince. I have fond memories of our school days and working together in the school cafateria. He was always a kind and gentle young boy.
I will remember him and that great smile the night of our class reunion.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Vince's passing. Seeing him at our reunion brought back many joyful memories of our days at Mt. Carmel - especially working with him, his brother and mother in the school lunchroom. I am sorry we were not able to visit more at the reunion. I am sure he will be missed by many. How sad but poingnant that I received the news of Vincent's death while we are in Ireland. I remember Vincent in grade school as a very gentle person. What a huge but loving effort it must have been to attend our recent reunion.
I'll be in Donegal later in the summer and I'll arrange to have a mass said there for Vincent.
