Vickie,
It's December, already. The world is so different now. It feels wrong. We're all trying to adapt, but I know I'm not the only one who is still nowhere near what will eventually count as "normal."
The rosebush you gave Mom for Mother's day in 2008 is in bloom. A pink snap-dragon in my yard still has blossoms. I take that as a message from you that life can still be beautiful, even during the seasons we expect it can't.

Your birthday has passed, your anniversary too. I look at your picture everyday and miss you. Why does everyone think the family is "going to get over" the loss of you.
One does not "get over" the loss of a loved one. One learns to live with it, cherish the memories and go forward, but one is never "over it." Miss you Vic Love Joanie

Dear Dan, Danny and Mark,
I worked with Vicky and your mom at the Jewel at Archer and Damen from 1970 until I went full-time in 1975, and because I lived on Archer Ave. I would be in the store 3-4 times per week. Vicky was a very special person to me, we had many long talks and good laughs. Dan, I wish we could have kept in better contact, but it never quite happens. May God confort you and your sons.

I knew that Vicki was ill but I just learned about her passing recently. We used to work out together at Wayne's World on Joliet Road. After the gym closed, I used to see her during her shifts at the Jewel. She was a blast! She was a great person to talk to....very fun-loving, cheerful, and interested in what you had to say! The last time I saw her we talked about shoes! She will be missed. My deepest sympathies to her husband and two sons and her entire family.

I offer my deepest condolences to all of Victoria's friends and family members. She lived her life in happiness and always in the interests of others. I will always cherish our laughs, conversations, and her love for country music. She was a mother in nature to many of us, assisting in times of need and expressing the utmost generosity to anybody who came over to her house. She is an example to us all in living a life of fulfillment, love, and selflessness.

Years ago Vicky worked with me at Second Federal Savings and I was always delighted to find her working at the Jewel's in Countryside. We would talk and reminisce about the 'old days' at Second Federal. What a wonderful, talented, joyous woman!!
God has you now. My sympathy goes to your family and everyone who knew you and loved you.

Dear Daniel and sons,
In this difficult time we just would like to let you know that we remember your beloved wife and mother in our daily prayers and masses.
Sharing with you these words, please know that we share your mourning:
"We give her back to you, O Lord
who first gave her to us;
as you did not lose her in the giving,
so we do not lose her in the return.
Not as the world gives do you give,
O Lover of souls.
For what is yours is ours also,
if we belong to you.
Life is unending because love is undying,
and the boundaries of this life are but a horizon,
and a horizon is but the limit of our vision.
Lift us up, strong Son of God,
that we may see farther.
Strengthen our faith that we may see beyond the horizon.
And while you prepare a place for us,
as you have promised,
prepare us also for that happy place;
that where you are we may be also,
with those we have loved, forever."

Dear Bujas Family,
Sometimes in life you are fortunate to meet a person who shows you how life should be lived. Vicki was that person. Always a smile and a kind word to a stranger who soon feels like an old
friend.
I will miss Vicki, but not forget her.
May God bless and keep you all.
With sincere sympathy,

Danny and Sons:
I am at a loss for words. I worked with Vicki for many years at the Jewel at Archer and Damen. Her smile, laugh and great sunshine on a cloudy day will remain with me always. I will treasure my memories and pray that our Lord will look over all of you in this difficult time. This is heavens gain and earths loss. Rest in peace Vicki...You were one of a kind and will be missed.
