Victor Matelski Obituary

Matelski, Victor M. a resident of Grayslake passed away Saturday March 4, 2006 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville at the age of 80. He was born May 26, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Maryan and Walentyna Matelski. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church, and worked as a manager for Binks Manufacturing Inc. for over 40 years. Victor is survived by his wife of 51 years Lorraine (nee: Polak), his children Maribeth (Mark) Zeller, Michael (Gisela) Matelski, and Thomas (Kathy) Matelski, his grandchildren Derek, Ashley, Samantha, Zachary, Jesse, Alexander, Grant, and Gabriel Matelski, and his sisters Wanda Lovely and Sally Wojtkiewicz. He was preceded in death by his brother Roman Matelski. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday March 7, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 in the large church. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Friends of the family may visit on Monday March 6, 2006 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030.
