So sad to hear of your mom's passing. I saw the obituary quite by accident just a few days ago. We were good friends back in in the late 60's when she was driving a green Chevelle, and I was driving my '64 GTO. I worked at a Shell gas station at 147th and Halsted in Harvey at the time. She was a friends with a girl named Betty who worked with me and we struck up a relationship. As it happened, I went into the militaryy in 1971 and she got married right around that time.
We grew up in a troubled time, but survived it. From what I have read in the guest book, your mom had a great life and grew up the way that I thought she would. I came back from the service and moved on with my life, as so often happens. I always wanted to contact her , just to say hi , but never got around to it. Now that cannot happen and it saddens me. Anyway, my best to your family. I am just one more person that had the opportunity to know your mother in her younger days and enjoyed her friendship.
sincerely, Jan Watrobka

Dear Jessica and Melissa,
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom.
I just heard this week-end from a neighbor. She was a great person and I enjoyed having her in the above apt. from mine. She was certainly proud of her family. You are all in my prayers. Fran Cannon

Dear Jessica and Melissa,
I have had the privilege of not only working with your Mom but also having her as a dear friend. She was always the first person I went to talk to when I came into the office.
Your Mom was a phenomenal woman, even through her own struggles she stayed strong and positive. I will miss her friendship, her laughter and her smile.
I am truly thankful for having her in my life and though my heart is broken, I know it is only a matter of time until we will see each other again.
You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Jessica and Melissa,
The Village of Orland Park has lost one of its best. I am privileged to have known and worked with your mom and I will forever treasure her friendship. She was such a giving, kind person who touched the lives of so many people.
Your mom was and is very proud of both of you. Her beautiful eyes would light up when she spoke of the two of you and of her beloved grand daughters.
Thank you for sharing her with us.
