Davis, Vera Dean 3jc10050 age 62, made her transition on Monday, March 17, 2003, beloved daughter of Melvee Davis and the late Johnnie L. Davis, loving mother of Tanya Leiser, Darryl L. Davis (Iris), William A. Davis III and Kelly Davis, dear grandmother of Joi C. Ridley, Robert Scott Leiser, Lauryn Sonja, Raeven Jenae and William Lamar, great- grandmother of Christopher McKenzie Leiser, cherished sister of John Kenneth, Donald Keith, Barbara Ann and the late Melvin Davis, many loving relatives and friends. Attended DuSable High School then graduated from Harold Washington College with honors in 1991. Funeral services Saturday, March 22, 2003, 1 p.m. at A.A. I met Vera while working on the CFC for the post office. She always gave me the inspriation and determination to stay with things until I felt good about doing whatever it was. She will be truly missed. My sympathy goes out to all of her family. She really was a nice person to know.
