Valerie Mushinski Obituary

Sister Valerie Mushinski SSJ-TOSF, entered into eternal life at the age of 93 and just a week from celebrating the 75th anniversary of her membership in the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis. Her passing was in the Francis Hall Infirmary of Immaculate Congregational Home, Bartlett, IL. Sister is survived by her brother, Leonard (Christine) of Houston, TX, nieces and nephews, as well as the Sisters of her relgious congregation with whom she shared her life since entering the order in 1931. Her parents, John and Antoinette Mushinski preceded her in death as did her three brothers and two sisters. Sister ministered in Illinois, Indiana, Colorado and Texas. She has been at the Convent in Bartlett, Illinois, assisting the sisters in the retirement years of their lives. Friends will be received at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 14th, for the Wake Service. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 15th, in the Sacred Heart Chapel of Immaculate Congregational Home, 801 W. Bartlett Rd., Bartlett, IL, (½ mi.E. of Rt. 59 and West Bartlett Rd.). The Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, IL. Memorials may be sent to the SSJ-TOSF Development Fund c/o Immaculate Congregational Home, Bartlett, IL. Services arranged by: The Countryside Funeral Home, 630-289-7575
