Val LeFevre Obituary

Val was the teacher I chose to study with back in 1981. I respected her spirit in color and movement. My expectations of having to be "the talented artist" I was known as all my life were overwhelming. Val gently guided me thru those difficult days while enriching my more adult approach to painting. She will always hold a warm place in my heart.

I will miss Val in my life. She was my first art teacher when I went back to art and she was a wonderful teacher and friend. She gave me the confidence to work for my BA and Ma and finally my MFA. I became a true artist largely because of Val's love and support. I'm sorry I didn't know she passed away until yesterday. I will hold her in my heart with love for always.
