Tommie Weaver Obituary

WEAVER, TOMMIE 59, long time Dallas teacher, passed away October 27, 2007 after a short but fierce battle with cancer. A graduate of Adamson High School and the University of North Texas, she earned a masters degree in early childhood education from Texas A&M at Commerce. She taught first grade at several Dallas area elementary schools, and had spent the past 12 years at Good Shepherd Episcopal School. Tommie and her husband, Mark, were long time active members of First United Methodist Church of Dallas and the Covenant adult Sunday School class. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mark Weaver, daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Tony Murphy, grandson Luke Murphy, sister Joan Roberts, and brother Leonard Patterson. Interment will take place at Laurel Land Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Friday. A memorial service is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 1928 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas. ,

Aunt Tommie's sweet spirit, kind eyes and understanding smile are just a few of the things that will be greatly missed.
I wish I could be there with the rest of the family today to say goodbye.
I love you, Uncle Mark and Suzanne, and keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
