Timothy Klufetos Obituary
Timothy Nicholas Klufetos (4.8.58) is remembered best as a strong athletic kid, and as a kind soul who was attached to family and friends; whom he treated with genuine respect and kindness always. He was a special challenge individual with an extraordinary memory, recalling birthdays, local geography, sports and history in vivid detail. He showered us with daily phone calls, including conversations about childhood memories and favorite foods (his Greek Salad), all of which will be missed. Tim graduated Addison Trail HS and he yearned to be back in his hometown Chicago, where he will now rest in Christian faith, with love from family and friends Tim, true to his name, lived an honorable life —always honest, and with great moral compass. He paid attention to the individual things about each of us, with sweet, empathetic responses over the years. He laughed and lived life out-loud. Tim was always up for an adventure with loved ones, whether it be dodging avalanches, or Uber rides to Starbucks,! Signing off the way Tim did, "I love you"& "have a good one " He is survived by one sister, Debra K Christopoulos, and two brothers: Grant N Klufetos and Scott P Bennett, Step Sister Donna Mericle and step brother Tom Standard, Sister in Law Lynn Klufetos, cousins, nieces, nephews, and best friends from High School, who remained loyal to Tim through the decades.
Visitation Thursday, June 23, 2022 4-8 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W Lake Street, Addison, IL Funeral services Friday, June 24, 2022 9am from Humes Funeral Home to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Elmhurst for services at 10AM. I will always remember Timothy (Timmy) Klufetos coming down the hall during passing periods at ATHS. He always had a smile on his face, a high-five to share, and something great to tell me that he was doing. Timmy was simply a good guy. He was full of life.
The world needs more people like Timmy. He will be missed.

Tim will always be in our hearts and in our memories. His passing has left a huge hole in our lives and our family won´t be the same without him. I will cherish all the phone calls and fun times we´ve had together. He will be missed very much.

Dear sweet brother, Timothy, My earliest memories include smiling as you unwrapped that long red firetruck under the Christmas tree; and as you followed the indoor perimeter of the house walls `humming along´. Glad we shared many musical moments, one of your passions. I have a beautiful image in mind now, of how peaceful calm surround you, with no tears or suffering. You are missed and loved dearly, and we look forward to the day of promise, when "first those asleep shall rise and meet with those alive, meeting Christ in the heavenlies" to live eternally together. I Thessalonians. What a reunion we shall have !!!! Til then, we hold your memory close; and the many days, phone calls and food/Starbucks runs we shared together.
