Our parents, (James Patrick & Joan Keleher) were life long friends of Tim's from the West Side Of Chicago. My father, Tim, Jack Francis,Kevin Murphy & Tommy Hughes were the best of friends. I learned much from that Westside Irish Crew. I learned of the rewards of hard work, loyalty, dedication, all things IRISH, Notre Dame, religion, patriotism, and friendship.I have had the pleasure of knowing Big Tim Cleary my entire life. I spent time with Tim in Illinois,California and Ireland. After my move to California many years ago, I kept in contact with Tim through lengthy, long distance phone conversations. I visited him when I visited Chicago. He was not only a life long friend of my father's, but a dear friend of mine as well. I will miss him dearly...
And forever think of him when ever I watch a Notre Dame or White Sox game.

Dear Joannie and family,
Our hearts are heavy as we think of your loss but our hearts are also full with all of the memories of good (and some sad) times, the love and laughter our families have shared. As my Dad often said, spending time with the Cleary's was like being at "High Mass". God Bless You!
May the road rise to meet you may the wind be always at your back; may the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

The first time my sisters and I met Tim Cleary was the night Tim brought Dad home after a very long business lunch. There were many of those business lunches, dinners, and all times in between to come for Big John Tuohy and Tim Cleary.
My Dad and Tim had such a beautiful friendship and luckily they brought the rest of the Tuohys and Cleary's along for the ride. What fun everyone had on the cruises, travels through Ireland, trips to Notre Dame, and countless parties and get-togethers.
We're so grateful for all the memories.
Love and prayers to Joan and all the Clearys from the Tuohy girls.

Mr. & Mrs. Cleary were dear & close friends of my grandparents, Bob & Lorriane Conley. Growing up, The Cleary's always allowed us to swim in their pool in the summer as well as celebrate the 4th of July. With the "4th" being my mother's birthday (Mary Pat), they always made sure to sing Happy Birthday. And at Christmas, Mr. Cleary would find a little time to step away from his family and play Santa Clause for all us kids. It was always a wonderful treat! I'll miss him very much!!! God Bless! Go White Sox! Go Irish!!!!
