Thomas Stansbury Obituary

Stansbury, Admiral Thomas A. 95C30240 77, of Chicago, fond uncle of Lynn Henderson, Holly (Michael) Landry and John McDaniel, grand uncle of Justin and Joshua Henderson and Daniel Landry. Admiral Stansbury was a registered professional engineer, a patent attorney and a two star RADM in the Naval Reserve. One of his many achievements was developing the delivery system for the Tomahawk Missile and was responsible for discovering the "Stansbury Effect". Visitation at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst, where friends may call on Monday, from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. For Info., 630-834-1133. Tom was a very close family friend to my father, Nick van Gelder, and the family. Dad knew Tom since he was about 10 years old. They shared many wonderful laughs and memories together. Tom was one of a kind. He will be missed very much by Dad and the family. We send our most sincere sympathy.

Mr.Stansbury was one of the greatest people i ever met.He always would stop and say hello to me or ask me how i am doing, he had a office in the building i work in . Thank You for anything you told me or taught me in the 2 years i knew you.
