Sagen, Thomas Age 74, of Loda, IL. Passed 10:35am, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home. Born January 12, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Stanley Sagen and the late Mary Tomzack. Band director at Oak Lawn and Hometown Dist. 123. Married Mary Hecht in Chicago, IL, August 29, 1959. Survived by wife Mary Sagen-Loda; 3 sons, Mark (Jeri) Sagen of New Lenox, David (Teresita) Sagen of Rantoul, and Richard Sagen of Breckenridge CO; 2 daughters, Margaret (Phillip) Staffel of Tinley Park, Ann (Richard) Kipper of Monee; 2 children, Jessica Sagen of Rantoul and Michael Sagen of Savoy; 2 grandsons, T.J. Sagen of Chicago and Robert Sagen of Dekalb; 1 great-granddaughter, Clara Sagen; 1 brother, Bob (Shari) Sagen of Arizona. Preceded in death by both parents. Member of Knights of Columbus. Funeral Service Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11:00am with Fr. Jose Kadukunnel officiating. Visitation 3-7pm, Sunday at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home in Paxton and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
