I met Tom in 1978, (I know--a long time ago) and I dated him for around a year. Tom was a gentle and giving man and would always make people feel special around him. We became close and he always made me laugh. His personality was the best, seriously. He loved and respected his parents and siblings, as I am sure he did his wife and daughter. I am so very sorry for the both of you. This email is very late, but I just learned of Tom's passing today. I tried to contact him on Classmates.com and I was replied to by a former friend of his and was told this heart breaking news. Even though my condolences are late, they are sincere. God Bless the entire Roccaforte family.

Tom was a HUGE believer in 2nd chances...Forgiveness. Without that 2nd chance given to me, I would not be where I am today. Many of the skills we all learned from Tom we can apply to our everyday lives in family. TGIF will always be a big family no matter where we all are. Thank you to Tom for making many of us better people by being a leading example...My thoughts and prayers are with the family and many, many dear friends. May he rest in peace.

I had the priviledge of knowing Tom for only a short time. In that time he was a wonderful friend and mentor. He will be missed and remembered by many. My prayers are with Maria and the family.

Tom was the kind of boss that made you feel appreciated. You always wanted to do the best job for him. He was motivating, positive, and always professional. I no longer work for TGIF, but not a working day goes by that I don't hear Tom's good words to live by:"Early is on time. On time is late." I was often late, but he was always compassionate and understanding. That made me want to be the best I could at work and not let him down. My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Roccaforte family.

If there is one word that I could use to describe Tom it would be quality. As a leader in the workplace, he taught all of us what true quality was through his words and actions everyday. The stories of the wonderful times that he spent with his wife and family over the years displayed how important quality was in his personal life as well. I am so extremely proud to be a part of his "team". My deepest sympathies go out to his family during this devastating time.
