I got to the 15th District soon after Tommy. We worked the same watch and occasionally the same car in the “wild west side” with a bunch of other great guys, he was a friend to all who met him. He was also a great policeman who really cared about the people he served. I'll always remember Tommy with his smile and his kind, caring nature. He will be missed by many.
May he rest in Peace,
Respectfully,
Dick Zuley

Just before my 21 st. birthday on June 15, 1970
I entered the Chicago Police Acacdemy. One of the first and more memorable people I met was Tommy O'Connor. He was a wonderful gentleman with a quick wit and a zest for life. Each time I saw Tommy he had that great smile of his and his genuine warmth toward everyone.
May he rest in peace,
Respectfully,
