I remember Tom as a good friend as we were growing up on Bishop Street and during our time at St. Ethelreda and Br. Rice. Always a friendly person and one you could always enjoy his company. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends of today.

God bless Tom , he was a very wise man . From the little time I got to know him and his wife Maureen , seeing them together all smiles and happy through all there pain , they truly showed me what love really is. He got me focused to go back to college, got me into the stock market, and made me start buying little houses for my kids future Christmas village. Thoughts and prayers to Maureen and the Lyon's family .

Maureen and Family my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Tom was one of the most genuine and caring fellows I ever met. I fondly remember many discussions we would have and the crazy solutions we would express to fix it. Rest well Tom and thanks so much for all you gave us!

Dear Maureen, Tim, Brian, Brendan, and family.
We are very shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of your family leader Tom. Words cannot describe what a great man he was. I had the pleasure of coaching with Tom and learned a lot about the game of baseball. Tom was the best pitching coach I ever knew. He will be missed but never forgotten. Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of Tom. We wish we could be there for the memorial services and funeral but we are away. May he rest in peace.
God bless Tom and all the family and friends mourning his loss at this difficult time.

To Maureen & the Lyons family,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Tom. We were great friends on Bishop St., and enjoyed so many good times there and at Br. Rice. I'm sure he and his dad will be up there rooting for those White Sox this year like always, and hoping that Br. Rice will come out on top in the next game with Carmel.
I'm sure all the folks that Tom touched in his life would want to say thanks for being who you are, a really great guy from St. Ethelreda who loved his family, and tried to do the right thing throughout his life.
We'll all miss you, Tom!

Mrs. Lyons, Tim, Brian, Brendan, and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Lyons was, and will always be, one of the greats! Mr. Lyons served as an example of how to be prevalent in the community while still always being there for his children.
He touched my life and so many countless others. I feel grateful that I was able to sit with my old coach a few years back as he beamed with pride as he brought me up to speed on his sons and grand kids. Thank you, Mrs. Lyons, for sharing him for so many years as our coach and friend. Great man and great family!
Love,
The Jones Family
