My heart was broken to hear the news about Tom. I visited Tom at his work about a year ago to catch up. Most of the conversation was about how Tom loved going on vacation with his wife and how special each of his kids are. It was a wonderful visit. I never met someone that loved life and family as much as Tom. Our loss is heaven's gain.
Love ya Tommy...see you later.

Tom,
The summer of 2020 will be recorded in the history books as one of the worst. In my heart it will be recorded as one of the best. I will forever regret not getting a hug from you in the last seven months, but I will forever cherish the fact that we loved each other enough not to hug.
This summer we quarantined together, drank together, laughed together (oh my goodness how we laughed), talked together, worked together, helped together, ate together and reminisced together. Always together. I don't remember any tears this summer. There was fear and concern and confusion and frustration and disbelief. But no tears. Because you my friend had too much joy in your heart. You had too much love to share. You had too much life to live. You had to much hope for the future.
It was one week ago today that we had our last happy hour and it was one of our best! You kept saying it was the last one for the year and I kept disagreeing with you. If I only knew.......
Thank you for taking such good care of Big Red this summer. You kept her in wine and groceries and lottery tickets. And no one changes a light bulb quite like you.
I promise to take care of your bride. I will make sure she never runs out of Coca-Cola. I will help her find joy in every day. I will hold her hand as she walks through her future without you.
I promise to watch over your babies. I will wipe their tears when they miss you. I will remind them of how proud you were of them. I will laugh with them as they tell their favorite Silver Fox story.
I promise to love on your grandbabies as you would have. I will make sure they always feel your love every chance I get.
I promise to keep your partner in crime's tequila glass full. He is already lost without you.
I cannot comprehend this life without you. But the memories of the good times we have shared will help me through the bad times. The memory of your smile and laughter will brighten the darkest days. The memory of your love will lift my spirits and heal my heart.
You will be forever missed and yet always with us.
Rest in Peace and Love my brother and friend.
