Thomas Carroll Obituary

November 30, 2004 Thomas H. Carroll, 54, of Syracuse, entered into rest Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a self-employed painting contractor. Thomas served his country in the 122nd Infantry Division of the Army Reserves. He enjoyed spending time in the 1000 Islands and boating on the St. Lawrence River. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Carroll in 1998. Thomas is survived by his companion of 15 years, Carol Stockham of Syracuse; his mother, Barbara Bandera of Lakeland; two brothers, Robert (Pat) Carroll of Fayetteville. Christopher (Patty) Bandera of Lakeland; two sisters, Starlene (Frank) Cook of Solvay, Joy (Bill) Coleman of Lakeland; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc., 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Funeral Services will be 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Thomas' honor to the River Hospital, P.O. Box 567, Alexandria Bay, New York 13607. Carter Funeral Home Inc. "Family Owned with Pride"

Carol, I cannot find the words to tell you how bad Mike and I feel about hearing of Tommy's passing. I just found out today (12/9/04) We just loved Tom. He was such a great person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
