Scruggs, Thelma M. (nee Robinson), age 84, beloved wife of the late Eugene F. Scruggs Sr., loving mother of Eugene Jr. (Cynthia), Karen A.K.A. Colita Ajanaku and Sharon A.K.A. Shu-Nai Ajanaku, dearest sister of Josephine (George) Tharpe and the late Eugenia Brooks, cherished grandmother of Ayida (Lenon) and the late Ayikwei and Monife, great-grandmother of Lenon Coltrane and Avinash Honor, dearest sister-in-law of Vivian and Marlene, fond aunt, cousin and friend. Funeral services Monday, at St. Joachim Church, 700 E. 91st St. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Viewing 10 a.m. Visitation Sunday, at Stamps Funeral Home, 10834 S. Dear Eugene,Karen,and Sharon,
I was reading the paper and saw the notice regarding your mother's passing. I just had to extend my sympathy to each of you and your families. I was very sorry to hear of her death. Eugene, I hope you remember me from elementary and Harlan-as well as Calumet Ave. You are all in my prayers. Be strong.
