VANDALIA -- Terry L. Brannon, 62, Vandalia, retired Vandalia Correctional Center guard, died Monday (Nov. 10, 2003).

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Vandalia. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. until services in the church. Burial: at a later date, Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Arrangements by: Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials: American Heart Association or St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Air Force veteran. Member: St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and National Association of Legal Investigators. Survivors: wife, Barbara; daughters, Kellie Smith and Kim Warner, both of Vandalia; Kathy Akes, Marion; stepson, DeWayne Ward, Granite City; stepdaughters, Terry McClure, St. Charles, Mo.; Debbie White, Granite City; sister, Charlotte Cripe, Vandalia; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Preceded by: parents and one brother.

I have lots of good memories of Terry. From school - the store and

out at VCC. So sad to hear the news of his passing.

Terry was a super nice guy. He would talk to anyone. Always was a very talking guy.
