Ted Opyt Obituary
Opyt, Ted J. age 76, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2007. Beloved husband of Dorothy Opyt (nee Zywicki), devoted father of Ray (Kathi) Marocco, Kenneth Opyt, Alan Opyt, Valerie (Roger) Lange and Steve Opyt, proud grandfather of seven, dear brother of Leonard (Mary) Opyt and Walter (Kim) Opyt. Visitation Wednesday, March 21, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Home--Steger Memorial Chapel, (3045 Chicago Road, Steger, IL). I,like Dennis Speer,got to know Ted while working at Ford. It was Dennis that passed the word on to me and I am saddened by Ted's passing and the fact that I did not know about this in time to attend the wake. Ted was one of the truly nice guys. My condolences to the entire Opyt family

My sincere condolences to all the family on Ted's passing. I was a friend of Ted's at Ford and worked closely with him while in Quality Assurance. I did not find out about Ted's passing until Wednesday evening when I received a phone call from another Ford retiree. I'm proud to say Ted was a good friend of mine and he will be missed.
